What is Narrative Intelligence®?

Narrative Intelligence® is the strategic discipline Michael Margolis pioneered at Storied for constructing an organization's narrative, so complex, technical, or hard-to-explain work gets funded, bought, and believed.

Others use the same two words for adversarial detection: monitoring the narratives already moving through markets and media. Storied's Narrative Intelligence® does the reverse. It builds and amplifies a company's narrative, and it builds generatively: language that creates value instead of extracting it, and leaves the company, its market, and the people it touches better off. Detection reads the narrative that already exists. This discipline writes the one worth believing in.

The lexicon

this work is built around

The prerequisite to product-market fit. Your words start pulling demand.

Narrative-Market Fit

Words that tattoo into memory, recalled cold and repeated back in your terms.

Ownable Language

Market-making, not market share. The category describes itself in your words.

Semantic Monopoly

Conviction underneath the words. What a company believes before it speaks.

Belief Architecture

The new technical debt. One word, defined three ways across three teams.

Language Debt

The side with the clearest language wins. Not the biggest team, the clearest.
